It's too much for me....

decided to take care of groceries today. Simple things. Cut up melon. Husk corn. Clean up carrots. Nothing hard. I got dinner into the power cooker and turned leftover pork roast into BBQ pork for lunch in the next day or two. I am totally exhausted!  I haven't even finished the carrots yet!  Still need to do celery. Need to make three bean salad, sauerkraut salad...and more.

I hate being so worn out. They are starting the rounds of specialists now. I start with the neurologist Thursday, need to set up pain management and we go from there.

I know I have heart troubles. I understand a pacemaker is in my future. I was told that several years ago. I'm just hoping that I haven't reached that point yet. I'm really not ready for a major surgery.

Anyway, with that off my mind.…

Don't throw away the extra dippies the kids don't use with their chicken nuggets. Did you get two salad dressings last lunchtime munch salad you got?  Hang on to it. Not enough salad dressing in that bottle to worry about?  Wanna bet?

I had enough goodies I decided I could make a pretty good marinate. This time it was 1000 Island and Zesty Italian. They didn't sound like a good mix, but turns out they were.

After sufficient soaking, I put chicken tenders in the bottom of my power cooker. Next I washed red potatoes, cut them in half and added them on top of the chicken. I have a sweet girl here who isn't a fan of cooked carrots so I put the rack in before adding the carrots. Big chunks. When hubby gets back from visiting his mom, we will push the button and in 15 minutes, tadaaaaaaaa!  Supper!

Oh yes. If you find a power cooker at a garage sale, snap it up!  I love mine.

***Dinner turned out awesome. One lesson learned. Full strength sauce can burn quick. The little bit it affected wasn't bad to me. Tasted like grilled chicken. Veggies were done to perfection.

For those of you who have seen the ads for Blue Apron and other places that send you all you need to cook a meal, three of my children like it. Two say it definitely saves them money even though it's expensive. When they told me how, I agreed it would.

Previously they would go out to eat or pick something up if there wasn't time to cook. These meals are healthy, ready quickly and easy to prepare.

Meals they especially like, they have a menu card and grocery list to duplicate.

All the food they have received has been in pristine condition. It is shipped cold so nothing spoils. Bonus:  enough ice packs for anything you might need.

For me, the mom, I'm glad it's them and that I can look through their recipe cards and duplicate them with my own ingredients.

Emmi has had the greatest time the last couple days. When she was here Friday, we got out the fimo clay. She's been making beads and fairy garden stuff. Love it.

When she wasn't being artsy with clay, she was either doing origami or drawing or designing something.

We did watch Madagascar 2 but it was mainly background noise for me. This tinnitus can about drive me crazy if I don't focus on some other noise.

Just an FYI. I will be copying my blog content to my craft page on Facebook. In fact there could be times it only hits my craft page. I want to see which way reaches the people wanting to read it easiest.

Hugs and love till next time,
